Theresa A. Pardo is Director of the Center for Technology in Government at the University at Albany, State University of New York, where she also holds research professor appointments in Public Administration and Policy and Informatics. In 2013 she was appointed as Open NY Adviser to Governor Andrew Cuomo and was recently named as an International Advisor to the E-Government Committee for the China Information Association; she is also president of the Digital Government Society, a global multi-disciplinary organization of scholars and practitioners interested in the development and impacts of digital government. Harlan leads a dual life: By day, he is a UX designer at OnForce, Inc. where he leads design and research efforts for web and mobile products.
By night, he serves as organizer of Boston’s Code for America Brigade: a volunteer group of developers and designers working with local governments and communities to build civic apps, open public data, and leverage technology for use in the public sphere.
Previously, Harlan has worked as a UX specialist at Intuit’s Innovation Lab and several local design firms. Harlan holds a Master’s of Design from Carnegie Mellon, and a BA in English from SUNY Albany.Read More
